About
Soulstatic (a.k.a Dan Martino) is a writer, DJ, and record junkie. (His parents are not impressed.)
Every week, he’ll bring you that expensive music, both new and old, in rock, soul, funk, disco, hip-hop, reggae, and house. Like the tunes, expect an eclectic set of guests from the worlds of media and music. Or, as some like to call it, the grown up high school that is New York City. Plenty of his dirty thoughts on said place have appeared in The New York Times, Village Voice, New York Press, Spin, and other online publications.
He has DJ’d plenty in South Florida and New York City, including APT, The Frying Pan, Water Taxi Beach, Brooklyn Bridge Park, PS-1, Black Betty, and more dive bars than he could possibly remember.
The founder of Brooklyn Radio, he now runs new hustles at 914Digital.
